Basic factors to consider when preparing the plan

Basic factors to consider when preparing the plan

If you are considering starting a new diet there are some basic factors to consider. So before you begin, take your favorite drink of choice, reading glasses, if necessary, and to sit and enjoy this article.

Now you are ready begin! We will look at three areas must contemplate before starting a diet.

• What are your specific goals by dieting

• Looking for the rapid weight loss or slow and steady approach to weight loss

• want to buy pre-packed foods or cook your own meals?

To begin, ask yourself what your goals are dieting. Want to lose 5-10 pounds or do you want to drop 25 pounds or more. Know what your target weight loss number is will make the choice of a special system that aligns with your weight loss goals easier. For some people, with a significant amount of weight to lose, it might be easier to break it down into monthly achievable goals such as 5-6 pounds a month instead of saying I want to lose 75 pounds.

Then you need to decide if you are looking for fast weight loss or loss method slow and steady weight. Most doctors will tell you to successfully keep weight off the best approach is to drop the pounds slowly, about 1-3 pounds per week. Unfortunately, we are a society that wants instant gratification - "we want now," in other words most of us are not satisfied just to lose a pound or two a week, but we would like 5- 10 pound loss per week. Some plans provide rapid loss but again most doctors advise that to lose weight and maintain weight, your weekly weight loss goal should be 1-3 pounds.

The third area is to look, do you want the convenience of buying pre-packaged meals diet like Weight Watchers frozen food products found at your local grocery store or you enjoy homemade meals? We live in a world of noise and bustle so it is easy to understand why some people want the convenience of a frozen food product instead of taking the time to prepare a home cooked meal, but on the flip of the coin, I think you get more flavor in meals prepared at home. We must also consider the cost factor. Is it cheaper to buy a pre-packaged meals for every meal or is it more cost effective to buy fresh produce where you can also cook in bulk and freeze the leftovers for future meals.

In summary, before starting any diet make sure you identify what your specific weight loss targets are the type of plan that fits your goals and finally, if you want to go with pre dinner packaged or prepared meals cooked at home.
