Don't Treat Yourself After Working Out

Don't Treat Yourself After Working Out

One of the most common mistakes that people make when they are trying to get in shape is to provide an edible reward after training. Think, if you have never done this before. You get a good workout in the morning or the afternoon, and later that evening you say, "Hey, I'm working today so why not have a fast food meal with soda or order a large pizza and garlic cheese bread! "

Now before you think this is just an exaggeration and how harmful can be a particular meal after a good workout, keep this in mind. Your daily diet all comes down to numbers.

Let our friend "Frank" to maintain its current weight, it is supposed to eat 1800 calories a day. This may not be your own personal amount of calories per day, but let's just use Frank as an example.

So if our friend Frank eats about 1800 calories a day, it will neither gain nor lose weight, just to maintain its current status.

On the other hand, if Frank was to create a deficit of 300 calories per day the total comes to 1500, this gap when combined with the passing days will soon add up to pounds of weight lost his body. But if Frank exceeds the limit of 1,800 calories per 300, 500, or more than 1000 calories, which will naturally lead to weight gain.

Now, for the person who then exerts a result feel like they deserve a treat, we will once again look at the numbers. Say, for example, the activity of the exercise is a 5 mile run at a moderate pace. This workout translates to about 800-1000 calories burned. This in itself is a great reduction in calories and is more likely to create a calorie deficit at the end of the day if nutrition is maintained throughout its entirety.

However many people insist on treating themselves to a bad choice after completing a workout and this limits the weight loss progress. Consider three meals of the popular fast food chains and see what actually lies in the caloric belt.

McDonald's Big Mac combo offers when ordered with large fries and soda you get a grand total of 1,350 calories. The Whopper combo Burger King again with large fries and a soda comes out to be 1260 calories. Finally, fried chicken flour 3 rooms with two sides and a large soda KFC is 1675 calories.

Have you noticed that every one of these popular meal went off on the amount that was lost in the five-mile race? This is one reason why, if a healthy diet is not maintained in conjunction with a consistent workout routine, real weight loss results will not be achieved.

Do your body a favor and scratch the notion of treating yourself after working. If you stick to what is nutritious and adequate in calories, you will make much more progress on your journey to get in shape and not having to deal with setback after setback.

Do not set yourself up for failure. Rid your mind of the idea to offer a gourmet meal after working and instead choose to save this great feat with something even better ... a healthy meal.
